Karl Goldsmith
"The heart and soul of my work comes from the reclaimed lumber used in construction... For over 150 years, this wood has sheltered families, livestock, machinery and the harvest of a growing nation. I give this wood new life and the owners of my art receive a piece of history"

Birdhouse artist Karl Goldsmith has always had a passion for creating art and
a love of American architectural history. His work exemplifies the early American landscape and the preservation of historical buildings. Goldsmith's
architectural reproductions capture the spirit of classic early American style,
a simpler time of life on the farm and in small towns. Cut from the great, old
growth forests, these boards have been left to age among the elements, producing a patina that only nature could provide.
Goldsmith has enjoyed a 30-year career in the Motion Picture business as a camera assistant and lives in Rochester, New York. He is also an accomplished stained glass artist.
